Gail is a qualified Meditation Teacher and has been using Meditation for over 15 years. She held regular circles in Ripon and Harrogate for two years before opening up her own centre. Meditation is a great way to relax - there is a famous quote by Osho which reads:
"Remember, Meditation is not something that is done by the mind, it is the absence of the mind. When the mind stops Meditation happens. It is not something out of the mind, it is something beyond the mind."
Meditation happens as the brain travels into a Theta brain wave state, you are completely awake and allowing yourself to be the observer of the mind to allow you to connect to your intuition and recharge. Meditation is you transcending thought.
Adult classes are held twice monthly on Monday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm. £6 per person. We provide chairs, Yoga mats, blankets, eye pillows and water. We have a free car park and it is not necessary to book as currently it is pay on the door policy, please avoid arriving before 6.20pm.

Important: In order for us to prepare you with the best space for Meditation please avoid arriving before 6.20pm. The space and energy has to be respected and cleared prior for each class to enjoy. We do not have a reception or waiting area so should you find yourself early, there is a lovely bench outside on which to sit and enjoy the canal air.
Young Person's Meditation club
These clubs are held every Thursday during term time from 4.15-5.00pm. We can take up to 12 children from the ages of 6 upwards. The cost is £5 per session and fees are paid by the term only.
As above - it is important that we prepare the best space for the classes so please avoid dropping children off any earlier than 4.15pm. Unfortunately we are only responsible for their welfare between 4.15-5.00pm.
Private Meditation sessions for up to 8 people
A warm, welcoming space can be provided for you and up to 8 friends. This hourly session will leave you relaxed, recharged and balanced. £50 per hourly session (regardless of numbers below 8)
Mindful Walking Monday 25 June 2018 6.30-7.30pm
Mindful Walking is a great way to wind down and to offset stress from your day. Mindfulness Practitioner and Meditation Teacher Gail, has been taking Mindful Walking for over a year for Street Wisdom and incorporates the sessions in her Retreats. During the summer and on the light nights, come and spend an hour walking with like minded people and learn how to embed Mindfulness into your life. The walks are generally done in silence, with instructions from Gail in different parts of the walk. There will be short stops to discuss and share experiences. It is ideal for people who perhaps cannot sit for a long period of time to meditate and nature lovers. It is a moving meditation. You will be responsible for your own health and safety at all times and it is compulsory to complete a very short questionnaire on joining. Donations are a minimum of £3 per person to make it accessible to everyone.
