Our Mission & History

The Mindfulspace Wellbeing Company is the brainchild of and was founded in 2014 by author, freelance writer, presenter, blogger and well-being practitioner Gail Donnan . This community wellness provision and trauma centre for adults and children is also an accredited training school based in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Inclusive community trauma centre for adults and children, particularly as we emerge from the pandemic allowing people to access a safe space, to perhaps create social change while treating and using intervention.  We want people who need help to be able to have access regardless of age, sex, ethnicity, disability or wealth.  The centre allow sufferers of trauma caused by the pandemic, neglect, domestic violence, child abuse and rape to have a safe space to be heard, to be educated about trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, loss and other mental health issues, to be able to speak their truth and re-connect with their bodies and learn to trust and build relationships, to find a purpose and to be able to connect with their local community again.
Our goal is also to enlist people who have healed through the centre to become volunteer mentors. End users are encouraged to donate an amount that is reasonable for them for each services or activities that they use.

We offer:
Specialist Trauma Yoga, Body Movement Classes, Monthly Support Group, Monthly Art Therapy Group, Sensory Play Classes, Self-Defence Classes, One to One Therapy, Hypnotherapy  and quarterly support workshops.
Inspirational guest speakers are encouraged and we are connected to local GP surgeries and schools.

We are a registered cause with Investors in Community - please follow the link to our page to donate or read more about us.
